Have You Developed the Habit of Being Positive?

People like doing business with positive people. Optimism is an empowering virtue. When you consciously choose to focus on the good in yourself and others, the positive impact radiates to all of your relationships. The results and rewards are energizing. Being positive also helps your clients feel confident about your ability to handle adversity. Research shows that pessimistic people give up faster and come up with less creative solutions to challenging problems than their optimistic counterparts.

When you accentuate the positive, you feel more powerful and you get more done. You create more value for your clients. Your attitude and behavior energizes and encourages the people around you. Your attitude will also influence others to stay positive and resilient when dealing with difficult situations.

Staying positive is a continuous process and a daily discipline for all of us. Don’t try to be perfect. Each day, wake up and make a commitment to look for the good in every situation, accept what you can’t change and change what you can. Don’t worry about tomorrow or get discouraged by your mistakes or something someone else did wrong. Decide to take some action every day to help yourself and your clients flourish and you will not only feel better, you will also influence more clients to make you their resource of first choice.

You can start developing a more positive attitude by changing the way you talk to yourself. If someone talked to you the way you talk to yourself, how long would you hang around with that person?
