How Often Do You Smile?

A sincere smile is appreciated, whether it is seen face to face or felt coming through the phone. It is also great for business. Client satisfaction scores increase dramatically when people provide service with a smile. Your business associates, family members and friends also like to see you smile.

A smile makes you appear more approachable and trustworthy. You will dramatically increase the number of meaningful conversations you have with the most important people in your life if you commit to smiling more often.

The act of smiling sends positive signals to your brain that cause you to feel better, regardless of what’s going on in your world. Smiling is also contagious. When you see someone else smile, you tend to make the same expression on your face. You start experiencing positive emotions immediately.

I know you don’t always feel like smiling. Trying to win at work without losing at home is stressful. However, if you wait till you “feel better” before you start smiling, you’ll miss many opportunities to transform your life and the lives of those you love.

Think of something to smile about right now and make a commitment to give that smile to everyone you meet today.

Remember, your smile can be the result of something good happening in your life. Something good happening in your life can also be the result of your smile.
